MY SURREAL SERIES

ARTIST STATEMENT:

This series is expansive and has covered much of my interests over the years. My creative work that was not done by observation I consider surrealism. Some works are more along the traditional lines and others are certainly dreamlike but at the same time they are not specifically like the other work that is called Surreal.

The painting "Spirit Transition" is about the moment of soul journey to either heaven or hell. Most like the traditional handling this painting was actually done very quickly. Other works like the Industrial Female that is shown is a series in itself. I have done many of these images applying this headdress to different women, men, celebrities even animals. I was the first to arrive at this imagery and it has since been used in modern movies.

The last work of art that is currently shown here is a drawing, also from a dream. The "Smoke Demon" represents those that smoke cigarettes and or cigars around their innocent children...especially during pregnacy.
